Occasionally Abe incorporated lead and color into his art, as he did in March 1982 with the Cactus Plant in Pot for his wife Jenny. She liked it a lot, so Abe returned to the subject for another cactus for his daughter June in November 1982. See Cactus Plant in Pot 2. For that cactus Abe made the pot and “soil” from solid brass. Both cacti art pieces are heavy for their small size.
